Sisterhood of the Bloggers. {Yep, it’s an actual thing}.

The lovely Susan at At The Library has nominated me for the Sisterhood of the Bloggers award. Thanks Susan!
First of all, go check out Susan’s blog. There’s music, reviews, musings, and lots of amazing photography of nature and animals. So, next I’m going to answer the ten questions put to me by Susan, then set ten of my own for the bloggers I would like to nominate in turn.
Here goes:
1. Have you ever been to the mountains? Not really, but where I am right now I have an amazing view every day of the Velebit mountain range. I have driven through them, the tunnel was almost six km’s long. I was also informed about half an hour ago that we have been invited for a drive to the very top on Saturday.
2. What color nail polish are you wearing right now, if any? A blood red by that brand that’s the ants pants and I can’t remember the name of. It’s the only one I packed, and all the swimming in the sea and saltwater has been brutal on the upkeep.
3. What time is it and what is the temperature? The time right now is 2.30 pm central European time, and the temperature is somewhere around 40 degrees celsius. In other words, it’s a scorcher. Thank god for air conditioning, because the temperature inside is somewhere around twenty.
4. What’s your favorite Marvel movie? Okay, I have three sons and two are complete comic book nerds, so I’m going to go with any of the Iron Man movies. If pressed I’d say the third one.
5. Tent or Cabin? I’m going with cabin, only because the last time we tented it I was pregnant as well as towing two small kids, so it wasn’t the most relaxing way to sleep.
6. Least favorite holiday? I’m not sure that I have one. Maybe the trip down the south coast of NSW where we planned a week but left after three days of non stop rain. Or the snow trip when I was fifteen and discovered how completely uncoordinated I actually am.
7. Thing, lesson or advice you wish you knew when you first started traveling? Get out there and immerse yourself in the local culture, get off the tourist track.
8. Hobby you want to take up? Hmmm… I wouldn’t mind knowing how to play the guitar.
9. Can you see stars at night where you live? Oh boy, can I. A village in an unspoiled and pollution free area makes for a very sparkly and clear night sky. It’s so beautiful. The air is also so clean and crisp that even with five asthmatics in the family not one of us have ever needed any meds whatsoever while here.
10. List your 5 favorite beauty products at the moment (can include anything from toothpaste to makeup to perfume)? Going by the things I am never allowed to run out of it would have to be LouLou perfume, Morrocan Oil, Nivea Soft moisturiser, Rimmel brow pencil, and Rimmel black eyeliner.
So there you go!
Now, here are the bloggy ladies I am nominating. {Psst! Don’t feel you have to play along, especially if you have already been nominated  previously. It’s cool.}
Mary at Rocklust
Cathy at Sugar & Salt
Okay, here are the questions if you choose to answer:
1. What’s the number one destination on your travel bucket list?
2. First album you ever bought with your own money?
3. What are you wearing right now?
4. Do you have a signature scent? {It can be anything from essential oils to a body spray to a perfume and everything in between}. If yes, what is it?
5. Your ideal dinner party would include which three people, living or dead?
6. How do you relax?
7. What is the most adventurous or daring thing you have ever done?
8. Do you believe in the supernatural? If yes, what is it that you find most interesting?
9. Your final meal would be…
10. If you won a million bucks what would be the very first thing you splurged on?
And that’s it!
Bye for now,
A.
P.S. I did have a lot of spaces between paragraphs but they refuse to appear. Is it just my computer or are there no spaces? Grrr…
Update: the nail polish is OPI. Of course I remembered as soon as I hit publish.  😉
  1. I had the same problem with spacing! I couldn’t figure it out and the html didn’t take. Not just me at least!
I almost put “bank holiday” instead of “holiday” in case any non-Americans took it to mean vacation but honestly you’re answer was better because my the “Which bank holiday is your least favorite is sort of boring.

    1. Ok so it’s a wp thing.

We call it a public holiday here! Probably don’t have a least favourite because it’s a day off after all. The Queens birthday one is dumb though because the whole idea of a reigning monarch in another country seems stupid in this day and age.

      1. The term “bank holiday” is sort of silly too! If the bank is closed on that holiday it use to mean that school is closed as well and people working on that day would receive holiday pay (time and a half) but it’s changed a little and companies are stingy on which holidays they pay workers extra for. Plus I just imagine people decades ago saying “Well, is the bank closed?” about it…seemed old & weird. Now the banks are open on Saturdays and sometimes Sundays. Work work work!

        1. Yeah, not much ever closes these days. I’m actually old enough to remember almost everything being shut on sundays and early closing on a saturday. The only night shops were open late was a thursday. How things change.

          1. It’s funny because I often think I wish there was way less consumerism in this country and that stores would close earlier so people could ideally be with family or at least rest and then I get FURIOUS when I realize it’s after 5pm on Sunday and all the nearby stores are closed and I have drive 30 minutes further.

            1. Lol. All good until we need something at an inconvenient hour. I mostly feel sorry for the people who are the ones working the cap hours.

            2. I saw the *crap correction but just before I did I was about to ask “What are cap hours?? We don’t have that term in the US.” I feel sorry for them too. I’ve worked so many holidays but once when I was off on Christmas I actually went to the store for a last minute food purchase and I felt like such a jerk…

            3. Yeah, I worked Christmas retail for so many years I’m always extra nice now when I’m on the other end.

            4. & I never say “Sorry you have to be here today” because I know they’re thinking “Then why are you here?” Last year my work was open 24 hours for the 5 days before Christmas which is great for late shoppers and emergencies but yikes it seemed a bit crazy to me. I was lucky and never worked overnight.

            5. *crap

      2. and “The Queens birthday one is dumb” is funny!
