Style Icon :: NICOLE KIDMAN

If there’s one celeb who has had a huge style transformation and is now a red carpet standout it’s Nicole Kidman.

I don’t know why but for a long time I wasn’t a fan of hers. I didn’t mind some of her movies but just couldn’t seem to like her. Maybe it was the Tom Cruise thing because as soon as she split with him she suddenly became a whole lot more simpatico. And after her recent run of movie and small screen hits, not to mention so many winning looks, she is definitely a fave.

What I love about her style is that, apart from being a perfectly long lanky clothes hanger who looks good in pretty much anything, she isn’t afraid to mix things up. She knows what works on her and wears a pencil dress like nobody’s business, but every now and then she shakes things up and you just go wow, who knew she could look so f***ing sexy?!

She’s responsible for one of my most favourite Oscars looks ever:

isn’t afraid of colour, ruffles, sparkle, or pleats:

And this recent look just leaves me speechless…

I love her less as a blonde and more as a redhead, think she looks better with less “done” to her face, and I absolutely LOVE her hair straight {especially paired with a red lip}, but what I think I love most about Nicole Kidman these days is just how happy she looks with her life.

  1. Loved reading this article. I am such a Nicole Kidman fan. Her acting is amazing. But it was great to see how you could still write objectively about the garments despite the fact that she’s not your favorite. I look her style too👑👠👗

  2. She is freaking stunning. I love her. Have you seen her botanical-inspired dress? It’s gorgeous but definitely shows off what you said about her not being afraid to mix it up. Perfect example. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/gallery/nicole-kidman-alexander-mcqueen-at-2017-acm-awards-990873/1-nicole-kidman

    1. Omg yes. She does that tall and willowy thing like no one else.
